I was told by Lionskins to put my game up here. After some thought, I said ok. It's a good way to force myself into explain my games to others, and therefor I believe will make me stronger:-) I will leave the timestamps on, since I believe they leave valuable information about the game. I will start by putting some thoughts about the game. Then I will paste a Scid-analyze with variations. Any comments are welcome! For those who don't know Scid, it's an Open source program that works like Chessbase. I'm sure some functions is missing, but the price is unbeatable: it's Free! Only thing I really miss is a manual. However, it's very intuitive to start with, and I'm told they are working on a easy guide for newcomers. You can Scid at scid.sourceforge.net/.

Game 1: Pason – BadHabitMarco, Round 1, Arbor U2000, Magnolia division, T43 In this game I didn't play for a STC-team, but show it anyway. Hope that's OK.
Since last season was a catastrophe, I was eager to get a good start. As white, I usually play aggressive. I try to find unusual variations that are sound. In this game, I get a move wrong in the beginning (8.e5) because I'm to eager to reach the g3-variation. I was lucky, since my opp didn't take advantage of it. I got the opening I wanted, and even though I'm 2 pawns down, it feels like I'm well compensated. I'm sure it's not objectively sound, but in practice it very effective. After the natural (but not very good) 12-c5, the game is more or less over.

Game 2: Uragon-bocho – Pason, Round 2 Mountain U2200, Cook division, T43 Time for a game with black. I often hury to much with black. Start attacking without completing the development, or leave my K in the center. Therefore I'm now trying to slow my game a little and not going for the kill direct. Unfortunately, I the exaggerate and play to slow even later. However, this time my postion could handle it.
It started with an unusal variation in the Sicilian (2.-a6). I like it because it keeps many doors open. I can go for e6-a6 buildup, or like in the game attack in the center. Best of all, it throws the opponent out of preparation. Here he made a very common mistake: Kept playing fast because he thought we were going to normal variations. That was punished... After getting some space in the the center and keeping his pieces passive (Bd3 and Nb1 don't do anything) I get a pawn after a white mistake. After that, I just cruise slowly towards an endgame. I could get two pieces for a R with 34.-R8c4, but didn't want to change the balance to much. I thought it was almost won anyway.
