I just realized that perhaps I should post some Captain's emails which I send at least weekly here so others in T4545 STC can read them. This is from today:
Hi everyone,
It's starting to snow here in Baltimore, although I don't think much will stick until later (for some odd reason it's the 6th time in 8 years it's snowed on Dec 5 - but we've had very little snow the past few winters).
Anyhow, the playoff picture became clearer overnight. If we draw or win our match now, we're in the playoffs. AngryPirate as an underdog put up a good fight yesterday, but his kingside attack just fell short. We now need 1 point in the last two matches to clinch a spot in the playoffs without help.
This afternoon at 1500 will be a tough matchup between arguably the best two players in our Division with AVEMARIA playing black against Salvatore. It promises to be a great game regardless of the result. Salvatore usually opens 1 d4.
Tomorrow, jericho121 plays the final match as black against dscvdchk at 1400 in what may be the deciding match.
One other game to watch tomorrow in the other match will be SugarIslander vs zepled37 at 1000 tomorrow. A win by SugarIslander will also clinch the Division title for us. However, SI has not been playing well lately, so this could be interesting.
